Time is moving like molasses and in fast forward both at the same time. Do you ever feel like that? You really do become acutely aware of time when you have a 9 lb. honey-baked-ham stuffed into the depths of your abdomen, whose every movement makes you almost wet your pants. Lovely. However, time magically got away from me this weekend, as I’m running waddling around like a crazy person, touching up paint on walls, finishing up last minute projects, shopping for a new door, hitting up Anthro on Saturday morning to help the visual team manufacture pieces of the holiday window displays (so fun!!), celebrating my birthday with MacGyver, cheering on mini-MacGyver in soccer, sneaking in a last minute rodeo just for funsies….so yeah, it was a busy weekend. (At least you all now know I wasn’t sitting on my keester wallowing in my very pregnant state while eating cheetos). I apologize for the delay in announcing the winner of my first ever giveaway. Thank you so much to all who entered, and a special thank you to Athena for your generous prize! I employed the help of random.org for our winning number:
Congratulations, Sarah! You’re the proud new owner of one gorgeous pair of crystal earrings, courtesy of Victory Jewelry! ( I emailed you with the good news, and can’t wait to see you rock them).
By the way, I enjoyed reading through many of your birthday haul predictions. I have yet to make a final purchase….I’ll let you know when it goes down.
I realize my outfit posts have been sort of absent lately. Okay, not sorta…. totally absent. Abysmal, I know. I have a few backed up, so I’ll share, since after tomorrow, I’m not so sure I’ll look the same as I do now…no complaints here. I’m due in 2 days, peeps! I feel like shouting from the roof tops! My sis is flying in tomorrow at noon to be there for the birth (so glad the little dude waited…), and my midwife promised to be here around 2 p.m. to pull out all the stops…literally. (ahem….stripping the membranes, herbal tinctures, etc.) I would love to have a baby on the 18th. I’d love to have a baby on the 19th as well, but hey…the sooner the better. Sleep is a distant companion these days….I’d love to just SLEEP for 6 hours straight before the all-you-can-eat nursing buffet begins. We’ll see….. and I will let you all know, promise! Okay, here’s a few getups I worked out for the oompa-loompaness I’m experiencing.

I apologize in advance for this next photo. Mini-MacGyver was the photographer and we forgot to remove shoes in the background and use something called a zoom. I totally forgive him. He’s still a stud like his daddy.

So I told you I bought the Elva Booties during the 30% off promo, right?
The verdict? Loveth. Muy mucho. 4 thumbs up. The little man gets to vote too since he’s almost out. These little wedge booties are so comfy, I kept them on literally all day long. And I’m REALLY pregnant, peeps. Any shoes a really pregnant lady will keep on all day are shoes that could possibly bring peace on earth and good will toward men. Plus, the felted top is just cool, in that gorgeous shade of Indian Teal we all know I love, and the piping is super cool too…adds this homemade feel to them. They’re like two slices of Scandinavian butter on my feet. They make me want to grow some long hair, braid it, wear a Dirndl, and bake something….
And it appears I am not alone in the lovefest for these leading ladies. They’re sold out in every size but a 6.5! The brand 80% 20 has them in other colors here and here, yet it appears the Anthro colorway was exclusive. The name of the shoe on those other sites is Freha. So that’s my review of the Elva booties. Hot dang, they rock.
I’ll be back tomorrow (maybe?) with a few pics of the Anthro craft-o-rama I attended on Saturday, and a peeksie of the DIY project I completed for my daughter’s room. A hint? It involved getting my hands covered in glue and cornstarch…..it was awesome.
Happy Monday to you all…
xoxo Molly
