An Anthrofied DIY and a Knotty Shirt

Remember how I told you my nesting urges are all fired up now that I’ve got only 14 weeks to go?  The little eggplant is growing like a weed and I feel like my belly trajectory has at least doubled in size the last two weeks.   (It still feels like I have forever until go time).  So let’s not dwell on it, shall we?  Let’s get our craftiness on and pretend we’re all wanna-be Anthro visual team members.

I came across this DesignSponge DIY Tutorial  a few years ago and have been meaning to make one of my own since then.  I was waiting to see where all my other decor projects ended up first, since I knew this project would cost me nothing to make and could really hang just about anywhere.   White space has been the lot over our computer desk for the past 4 years, so I decided it was time to get this project up, knowing just where to put it.  I started saving up toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls about 2 months ago.  Here is my end result.

The whole Shebang.

The bonus of this project is that I can keep saving my TP and Paper Towel rolls and keep adding on to the sucker, turning it into 3-D wallpaper or something. It literally only took me an hour to make and a stick and a half of hot glue.  Fast DIY’s are my friends.   So you think you might try something like this?  Or have you already?  Couldn’t you see the visual teams at Anthro going hog-wild with TP roll designs?  Here’s some more TP DIY ideas from pinterest:

Remember yesterday’s post when I said I went into the Gap and they were having an extra 40 percent off sale?  Well I also picked up this shirt, for $16.  What to do with an over-sized button-up?  Knot it, over the bump of course!

Wearing: Skirt/Dress-J.Crew Outlet, Tank-Banana Republic, Shirt-Gap, Shoes-Anthropologie Lemonstick Wedges, Earrings-Anthropologie Triphasic Earrings

These Triphasic earrings I purchased on sale last week have me wanting to do cartwheels.  Don’t worry, I won’t.  But I want to.  They’re lightweight and fabulous, and I’m having to restrain myself from wearing them every day.   And, thankfully, I did not pull a Britney Spears maternity disaster in this outfit…opting instead for a layered tank underneath.  You’re welcome.  You can still see some major bumpage though, what with the jersey-hugging items I chose. A much classier way to show it off, don’t you think?

Wishing you all a happy weekend.  If mine goes as planned, I’ll be hitting up several Anthropologies (with shoes!!), kicking it by a 5-star resort pool, gorging myself on daily breakfast buffets that would make your mama jealous, and eating warm chocolate chip cookies as I lay in my newly “turned down” bed.  The biggest decision I’ll have to make?  Which color nail polish to choose at my pedicure. It’s gonna be so rough….

xoxo Molly
