Toe Cleave

A pressing matter to present to you this morning.

Toe Cleave. Yay, or Nay?

Wearing: Top-Anthropologie Nicoleta Blouse, Skirt-J.Crew No.2 Pencil skirt in Double Serge Wool Tall Length, Shoes-J.Crew Mona Colorblocked, Belt-J.Crew, Necklace-Kate Spade Factory

Okay, so it wasn’t really a pressing matter. I just wanted to know.

I have a few pairs of shoes that dip daringly low past the vamp, these Mona pumps included. And well, …. I’ve gotta say, I’m a fan.

My vote: Believe in Cleave!

On a side note, I googled “toe cleavage” just a second ago and am a bit disturbed to discover there is an entire blog dedicated to toe cleavage. No joke. Yo! That’s kinda whacked.

The truly pressing matter I need to mention is that Anthropologie is offering Free Shipping on orders over $100 for a limited time. Fly, be free, my little shopper butterflies. Go get something good.

xoxo Molly

p.s. Attention all creepy foot fetish peeps: leave my toe cleave out of it.

p.s.s. Don’t forget to submit an outfit for the Analogous Color Challenge! Bring it, Ladies!

3 Degrees of Orange

Who here’s a fan of playing the 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon? My sister-in-law is liken unto an idiot savant at the game. For reals.  She never misses.

But guess what?

I’m only 2 degrees from Kevin Bacon.

No lie.

I can’t tell you how, cause then I’d be breaking an anonymity clause from a treatment center I used to work at (and my conscience couldn’t take that), but I swear-on the Anthropologie Bible-that I’m tellin’ the truth.

Speaking of degrees….I realized this past week that I was all about oranges, in 3 varying degrees. Check it out:

Wearing: Skirt- Anthropologie Shifting Buttons, Blouse- Anthropologie Nicoleta, Necklace- J.Crew Monotone Beaded Necklace, Shoes- J.Crew Factory Bow Patent Ballet Flats

Wearing: Top- J.Crew Factory, Shorts- Anthropologie by Sanctuary, Shoes- Dolce Vita, Necklace- Anthropologie

Wearing: Jeans- Anthropologie AG Stevie Pin Dot, Top- Anthropologie, Cardigan – J.Crew Ethereal Ruffle, Necklace – Anthropologie Rotary Dial, Shoes- Sam Edelman

Unfortunately, dressing this way did not get me any closer to Kevin Bacon. Bummer.  Cause that guy can dance.

Anyone else care to claim Kevin Bacon relation?

xoxo Molly

P.S. Have you seen these coral babies? I die. Rachel Zoe style.

Double P.S. Any of you own the Roe Habitat Blouse by Anna Sui? I never tried it on because I was large with honey-baked-ham Mr. Banks at the time, but I love the print. The reviews seem confusing. Any thoughts?

Colorphile Series: Submission Challenge

So, those of you who have been following me this past year know that I am a color lover, a color junkie, a down-right color whore fanatic.  One of the first posts I ever wrote was actually a guest post for the now defunct blog Anthroholic.  The post was all about color inspiration, where I find it when I need a boost, and how I implement it into what I wear. Here’s some photos to jar your memory:

Outfit inspired by the cover of a Pottery Barn Catalog

Outfit inspired by an existing print, in this case, the Wightwick Manor Dress.

This original artpiece inspired....

This outfit.

I ended the post with a challenge to any and all bravies who wanted to participate.  All you had to do was send me a picture of your inspiration and your outfit.  I ended up breaking up the post into two parts. You can read them here and here.

Thanks to all the ladies who participated, we had a good show.  I thought it was fun, so I’d like to make it a regular series here.

So here’s the skinny: Send me a picture of your outfit inspiration and, of course, of you wearing it.  You have one week to make it happen.  Submissions are due next Sunday night, March 4.

I hope you all find the time to participate, cause I’d love to see what has you inspired.

Want to see what’s inspiring me?

Candy apple red, plus chile pepper red, plus

Lose the boots and I'm ALL OVER this outfit. You can bet I'll be a-huntin' for similarly-hued pieces.

Madewell done Quitewell.

To see which one of these color gems inspired me to dress the part, you’ll have to check out the Colorphile Submissions post next Monday.

For now, I’ll leave you with a morsel of a different kind…an OOTD.

Isn’t this orange color delightful?  Whenever I wear this top, I feel like a luscious persimmon.

Wearing: Skirt-Talbots, Top-Anthropologie Nicoleta Blouse, Belt-J.Crew, Tights-American Apparel, Shoes-Anthropologie Tegu Platforms, Earrings-Anthropologie

It’s just another Manic Monday, friends.  Hope you’re surviving!

xoxo Molly
