In honor of the day of my birth, I did a bit ‘o damage at Anthro with my birthday discount. Totally my idea of a good time.
I picked up a new pair of cords that have made all of my cinnamon and rust dreams come true. They flat out rule.

Oh man, this skirt! Next to pajamas, I don’t think I’ve ever worn anything so comfortable. For reals. The striations are fantasticly colorful without being overwhelming, and the uneven hemline is super chic while maintaining a definite laid-back vibe. So perfect.

Happy Birthday ! How are the copper dusted heels? I saw you bought them. I wear mostly ankle booties but I am hoping to get these as soon as they get first cut. TTS? I also hesitated a bit as I don't usually love laces (I guess I sometimes think it takes away from the feminine look…??). I have 2 pairs of Chies. One is 1/2 size too big, and one 1/2 too small (but stretched to fit of course

Sydneygirl- Thanks for the birthday wishes! I LOVE the copper-dusted oxfords. My size in Chies (41) on Anthro's site NEVER makes it to sale, so I knew I had to be quick and decisive in procuring them. I did manage to buy them on a bday discount via my sis-in-law, so that helped lessen the price tag blow… I love the look of these. I think the toe box area runs a little narrower than say the IONA style and NINA style which I own, but not a huge difference. I don't think the laces take away anything from the design of this shoe, rather the laces are a nice rugged contrast to the sparkly back and feminine ankle strap. Hope you can snag your size at 1st cut, they're absolutely beautiful!
