Calling all Frock Stars.

Anna Sui was my BFF this week, thanks once again to the little overachiever we call Ebay.

Wearing: Pants-Anthropologie , Top-Anthropologie Mako Blouse by Anna Sui, Shoes-Madewell, Necklace- Vintage

Her tops are like buttah. For realz. If you happen to come across a Mako Blouse on Ebay, I suggest you snatch it up quickly. It looks embroidered, doesn’t it? Well it isn’t, but is a gorgeous stand-on-it’s-own print that transported me to Mikonos. Well, okay….in my head it did.

Wearing: Pants -Anthropologie AG Polka Dot Ankle Stevies, Top- Anthropologie Roe Habitat Blouse by Anna Sui, Shoes-J.Crew Factory Cece Studded Suede Ballet Flats.

And the Roe Habitat Blouse I have so long-desired I’m wearing above. Fun, gorgeous-hued top with a different shape than I’m used to wearing. It’s always nice to shock the system once in a while.

So ladies, guess what? Exactly one week from tomorrow, I will board a plane and shoot off to San Francisco for a girlfriends’ reunion. I know…shut up, right?!? So fun! We’ll be biking over the Golden Gate, eating, hiking in Muir Woods, eating, maybe throwing in a duck tour (unless they’re lame, are they?!), eating, shopping, oh…and catching Les Miserables! (I would so appreciate suggestions for restaurants, great shopping areas, and things to do that are off the beaten tourists path, oh all-knowing San Fran peeps).

In preparation for said trip to San Fran and being childless for an entire 5 days (moment of silence, please….) I have been ruminating on the packing situation and in a dither about which frock should accompany me to the Les Miserables event. (Yes, for suresies there will be a frock on this bod for a broadway production, non-negotiable).

So I thought, what better way to prepare for this type of decision than to invite you all to participate with me?  Therefore, I’m officially calling on you, my readers, to send in a pic of you wearing one of your fave Anthro frocks, one that has done you right and holds Frock Star status forevermore. I’ll compile all the submissions and we’ll have ourselves an honest to goodness cyber frock party. Who’s with me?!

Here’s what you do:

1. Submit picture of yourself wearing one of your favorite frock stars from Anthropolgie. (Sorry, only one!)

2. Include outfit details and anything else you’d like to say about your frock.

3. Please have pic to me by Sunday, August 19, at midnight.

That’s it. I swear. It’s that easy.

I can’t wait, y’all. My eyes can’t wait. Bring on the frockiness!

xoxo Molly

P.S. If you missed my post here, you could be missing out on a 10% off coupon towards a pair of Chies!

Definitely hit the Ferry Building in SF (esp. on a Tues, Thurs, or Sat when the Farmer's Market is held there too….big one on Sat) for a true bit of foodie heaven! Go early and go hungry. There's something for everyone – cheese (Cowgirl Creamery!), cupcakes and macarons (Miette!), coffee (Blue Bottle Coffee!) and an assortment of other restaurants and vendors to choose from. Plus, you'll have amazing views of the SF Bay, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, etc. Have fun!

  2. that's not easy at all…who could pick one frock! I love the roe habitat with the subtle grey dots- wowza!

Pelican Inn at entrance of Muir Woods!

The Ferry Building is great! If you get there in the morning, the waffles at Blue Bottle are also to die for.
You might also want to consider the Valencia St. corridor in the Mission. There is great shopping there as well as good eats. Here is a link with more info
In addition to the shops mentioned here, you might also want to check out the Weston Wear store (made locally) and Therapy on Valencia between 16th & 17th streets, as well as Belljar on 16th.
My other favorite hidden gem is Jeremy's in South Park (2nd St and South Park). They have runway samples and overstocks, so it's hit or miss, but you really can find some awesome deals. Don't forget to go upstairs, where I have found many Anthro items at a fraction of the price. Across the street is The American, which has probaby the best gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches on the planet. And if your feet are weary from walking the SF hills, head to Zaza across the street for a fab pedicure. Just my two cents.

  5. That Anna Sui top is the shizz! I love it! Favorite frock…how will I ever pick just one?!

My man and I just got back from San Fran and had a blast! There is a Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at the deYoung Museum that is to.die.for. Even the hubs loved it! Our favorite part of the trip was a city tour of San Fran on bikes with Beebe from San Francisco Bike Tours. Alcatraz at night was also a trip. Have a great time with the girls! Oh, and bring layers!!!

One more thing…I found the most UH-MAZING store named Ambiance. It is unique to San Fran so try to check it out if you can.

Hi we were in San Fran last year and really enjoyed Alcatraz & Napa Valley. We really loved the musee mechanique down by fishermans wharf – it has loads of old style games.
Theres also a great vintage store in sutter street called timeless treasures :

    Have fun!

  8. I think I emailed you this before, but Gorgonzola Cheese Criss-Cut fries at Palomino and homemade ice cream at Bi-Rite Creamery are two of my favorite food finds in San Fran…I'm already missing having them close by! =) Have a blast!!!

Molly! I work in San Fran. If you are in the Union Square area, you should try Jaspers Corner Tap & Kitchen, Hops & Hominy or Brenda's. And you HAVE to shop at an Ambiance. There are about 4 of them in the city. For tour, The Magic Bus is fun. I can't believe you are going to be in my city! Hope you have a blast!

  10. Hello there, just became aware of your blog through Google, and found that it’s truly informative. I’m going to watch out for brussels.
I’ll be grateful if you continue this in future. Many people will be benefited from your writing. Cheers!
