A Jumble of Satin and Sweaterknit

I love Anthro’s literary peeps, the ones in charge of writing product descriptions. I’m somewhat of a word-nerd, so the ease in which they string descriptively unique words together claims my complete respect.

Take this piece, for instance.

Wearing: Skirt-Anthropologie Nubby Stripes Skirt, Top- Anthropologie Desert Rose Sweater, Belt-Anthropologie Dusk Blue Suede Belt, Shoes- Anthropologie Scarlet and Crimson Wedges

 It’s like pure poetry.

A jumble of satin and sweaterknit tea roses defy the arid climes of cotton-nylon to bloom with delicately beaded centers.” Who are you, product descriptor geniuses?

You had me at ‘jumble of satin’.

Second only to Anthropologie in product detail writing would be the literary prowess of Groupon deal of the day authors. I mean really, have you ever read them word for word? It’s entertainment.

For instance, take this deal of the day for a Serenity Farmhouse Inn stay in the Texas Hill Country.

Each cottage is outfitted with a spacious heart-shaped whirlpool tub that makes for a romantic spot to share a box of chocolates or create a giant heart-shaped jello shot.”

I mean really, you just can’t get this kind of material from a robot. A giant heart-shaped jello shot?  Love it.

Here’s to Anthro’s jumbles of satin and sweaterknit and heart-shaped jello shots.

xoxo Molly
