Goldenish

I’ve had a windfall (well, is a windfall 3?) of Ebay victories as of late, one of them being this brand new Anna Sui Anthropoogie Golden Age Shift. Isn’t she purdy?

Wearing: Dress-Anthropologie Golden Age Shift, Slip-Vintage Hem, Shoes-Hinge Lanie Berry, Belt-Anthropologie Expanding Diamonds Belt, Earrings-Anthropologie, Bracelet-Anthropologie

The original retail price on this baby was a throw-up-in-your-mouth-just-a-little-bit…..$388! But that’s not what I paid for her. No, no…this idyllic, goldenish beauty arrived at my door for the buy-it-now price of $59.99.  Hello, reasonable.

She came with a slip, but was still too see-through up top for my liking, and hooker-short on me to boot. So I made it right for me with an elbow-length undertee in the same hue, and a slip extender for length.

I loveth. Mucho. She’s definitely a Sister Fabulous piece.

Ever heard of the shoe company Hinge? So far, I can only find them sold at Nordstrom, though I picked this pair up at Nordstrom Rack a while back at 75% retail. Hollah! I think Anthro buyers should sit up and take serious notice of this little company. Wine and dine ‘em. Woo them. Buy ‘em cupcakes, massage their feet, and send them some of their intoxicating Volcano candles. Whatever you have to do, do it.  Just start carrying these shoes! They rock!

Take a look at the awesome vintage vibe….cut-outs, perfectly shaped toe box, rugged tie….I’m crushing ladies. Big time.

Any goldens you’ve snagged on ebay as of late? Care to spill?

xoxo Molly

P.S. I’ll be reminding you all week about the Colorphile Submission Challenge.  Due midnight on Sunday, July 22. Find your own inspiration piece, and execute the colors in an outfit. Take pics of both and send them my way to molly@anthromollogies.com.

  1. Fantastic Ebay win! I always love it when I can score a deal on Ebay, makes me feel like I've "worked" for it, haha!

  2. Great deal! I stalked that dress online forever…may have to check out Ebay. My two best and recent scores was the original Black motif floral bianka blouse for $15 and a NWT alluring sway skirt for $20…still don't know how I got away with those!

    • Holy cow, awesome steals/deals! I've seen a few others on Ebay of this dress but asking far above what I paid. Patience is a requirement with ebay, unfortunately. But it sounds like you have the luck of the ebay force with you!

Hinge is an in-store Nordstrom brand, so you won't find anywhere but Nordstrom. I had those same shoes in a putty color and loved them so, but they were so smelly I had to return becasue of the headache they gave me. Hopefully yours off-gassed already!

    • That's what I figured when the box said "Made in Seattle," though I still held out hope that it was an independent brand. Strange about the smelliness, and eww! I have not encountered that issue with these, thankfully! Perhaps the "airing out" time at the Rack solved that problem?!

    • Thanks woman! I thought so too. Darn that Anna Sui for being so fabulous. But yay for Ebay for making it possible to own said fabulous pieces for a steal!

  6. That dress is beautiful! I’m off to Nordstrom Rack tomorrow so I’ll keep my eyes open for the shoes.
