56 Men

Happy 4th of July, everyone!! Wishing you all a lovely day off, FREE to do what you choose.

Here’s how my day will go: Family time (including my SIL and niece from out of town. YAY!) An outlet visit on the way to Austin, frolicking in natural swimming holes, a food truck visit to South Congress, the Salt Lick, an Anthro visit to downtown Lamar (because what would Independence be without Anthro?), and Fireworks with the Austin Symphony. BOOM!

Hope your day is explosively happy too!

And might I include a shout-out to our founding fathers, for their dedication, morals, and conviction. Thank you for making it possible for me and my family to be celebrating 236 years later what you accomplished back then. I will not forget.

Founding Fathers. Might I add, I’m loving the rust and gold tones going on here.

“As you enjoy your fireworks, hot dogs, hamburgers, watermelon, [Anthropologie, swimming holes, Outlets, Salt Lick,] and family gatherings, please take a minute to remember the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence, and the risks they took doing so. If captured they would have been executed, and their property confiscated. Benjamin Franklin, who was among those 56 men representing the colony of Pennsylvania, remarked sagely, “We must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately.”

Gratefully,

Molly

Happy 4th Molly! Have you gone to 24 Diner across from the Lamar Anthro? It is AMAZING! Have fun and have some hey cupcake for me.

  3. Happy 4th! Your day sounds great, Molly! I slept in, went to a yoga class with a friend, went to a BBQ, and got a lot of stuff done around the house. It feels so weird to have a day off mid-week. I could get used to this:)
