Pam, You’re Killin’ Me.

Stop it.

Just stop it already.

Pam Hiran, I’m asking you nicely to stop with the rockin’ necklaces you keep pumping out for Anthro, or I might have to start selling plasma this month.

You already easily got me on this one….

Rotary Dial Necklace

Didn’t even put up a fight.  Worn here: (some of you may have seen this shot already, submitted to Roxy’s Reader Outfits a few weeks back).   And of course you saw it on me in Tuesday’s post.

Wearing: Dress-Anthropologie Layered Column, Cardi-J.Crew Jackie, Belt-Anthropologie High Gloss, Necklace-Anthropologie Rotary Dial Necklace, Shoes- Chie Mihara IONA

Take a looksie at this one….

Kuychi Necklace

Oh my.  Oh my, my, my….awesome in every way.  I saw one of my favorite SA’s wearing it recently (hi Michelle!) and almost ripped it off of her. I’m obsessed. The bright maramalade color and deep rust mixed with pale blue and ombred pink….seriously, shut the front door.  I’m in.

Then this one came along.

Sparked Amber Bib Necklace

Haven’t seen it in person yet, but I lurve the pairing of it online with the Mariposa Dress.

The intricate beading on this one is just pure art here.

Pressed Leaf Bib Necklace

Seeing her impressive work, and knowing I’ve seen many an Anthro necklace gone-by with a similar design feel, I did a little digging.  Treasures-gone-by were found. Ghosts of Anthro-past….

Like this one:

Waving Pennant Necklace

And this one:

Tayrona Necklace

I’d buy this one in a heartbeat if sold today.

Entwined Necklace

Want. Want. Want. I’ll be hunting Ebay with fiendish desperation for this one.

Natural Wonder Necklace

Lovely. Exotic. Quality.

Midas Sea Necklace

All her necklaces are hand-beaded.

Drips and Droplets Necklace

Learn more about how Pam is empowering women here. She’s so awesome.

Pammy….I want to kiss you. Your necklaces make me all kinds of happy. I come from a long line of Giraffe-necked ancestors, and with short hair, my neck becomes even more important to adorn.  Your necklaces, thankfully, are masterfully adjustable to many different lengths. Thank you!  Thank you for not being long-necked prejudiced.

Any one else feelin’ the love for Pammy?

xoxo Molly

  1. Oh they are so stunning. Especially love the bib ones!

  2. They're all super amazing (and I can easily imagine you in outfits that would compliment them all beautifully ;)). Reading her site, she seems like such a cool woman too. Thanks for highlighting her work Molly :)

    • I found it so fascinating reading about her. I'll happily spend $60 on a quality, unique necklace from Anthro. Knowing it's employing and empowering women at the same time? I really should buy 5, right?!?!

  3. I adore her necklaces. I have 2 of those high on my wishlist. The waving pendants is such a sad tale for me. Finally found one on sale in store. Did a charge-send. Package arrived completely sealed and completely empty. No necklace. They did not put it in and by the time I got the package there were none. Anywhere. Sigh. Maybe I should just get a full price one to make up for it?! ;)

    • Oh man…that was seriously sad. Sure, no one died…but a necklace did. That's sad in my book. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for you. I think you and the waving pennants deserve a chance together. And, YES, you really "should" buy a full pricer to make up for your loss. :)

  4. Uh oh, I had gotten *mildly* obsessed with the Sparkled Amber Bib Necklace, but didn't really notice all the others (or did I and my comment is just an expression of wishful thinking?) Her pieces are always such great quality. I may have to all of these to my wishlist. Thanks, I think :-)

    Hi Molly!

I love me some Pammy too ;) With all the DIY talent you have….Im surprised you havent ventured into jewelry yet?

I have a BOX of stones I bought from etsy sellers fully intending to make some jewelry— and it is STILL in– the box I bought on etsy– to store it in. lol

Packers are coming tomorrow and we leave to WA next week– maybe after we have settled in….post PCS– I will give it a go. Maybe. haha

I bet you would make awesome jewelry- you are super creative!!!

    Best,
    Deborah

    • With all the other STUFF I buy for crafting…it's just what I need….getting into another hobby like jewelry making! I'll happily buy it. Admittedly, there's not a prayer I could create anything quite as awesome as Pammy's designs! But hey, you give it a go, Lady! Best of luck to you in WA. Super, duper jealous!

Ohmygosh! Molly I too am obsessed! I have been searching for more of Ms. Hiran’s creations online. I just bought one of her necklaces on clearance in my local Anthro (ughh well 1.5 hours away…the horror! Actually, make it 3 hours with DC traffic…sigh…) I forgot the name of it, but it was online a few weeks ago in the clearance section. It is a skeletal bib creation with gorgeous blue, turquoise and yellow stones. I am so impressed with the quality for the price with her designs. I hate to say that I can be dissapointed when I order Anthro jewelry online. I love that Pam’s pieces are substantial and won’t break the bank!

    • I've been totally impressed by the quality too. Not like so many of Anthro's necklace strung on embroidery floss! I know her necklaces will last the wear and tear (read….7 month old tugging and drooling on said necklace…) :) So glad you scored one on clearance! Jealous.

  7. I love these- thanks for highlighting the designer! I always forget to check out the jewellery at anthro, but recently saved the minty 'sparked amber' piece to my wishlist because it's just perfect! I think I may be picking this one up sooner rather than later, since I always seem to miss out on my favorite jewellery pieces when they go on sale!

    • Oh man, the necklaces and shoes are completely my Achilles Heel at Anthro. If only I could "forget" to look at the necklaces…my wallet would be so much heftier!

Pam is a wonderful person and a great designer, I know her. There are plenty of her designs around, not just at Anthro…..BUT they are to die for and the prices are very good for a hand crafted item!
